I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
